The 2nd stage of the project to develop a Resource Recovery Centre in Coromandel town has been the signing of a 5 year contract with the solid waste contractor Smart Environmental Limited to manage the Coromandel RTS on a sub-contract basis. CILT believes that obtaining this contract was essential to moving to the next stage being the development of a comprehensive Community Resource Recovery Centre (CCRC) which is to be situated on the same site as the Coromandel RTS.

Ian Martin and Jim Dicks are the Coromandel RTS Site Operators.

The Thames Coromandel District Council sets the Coromandel RTS Opening Hours:

Peak Season (23 December to end of summer) – subject to change for the 2017/2018

Entry to the site is not permitted outside of these hours and rubbish must not be left at the gate.
